Miriam is the author of the Dragon of Mirrors and Children of Rima series. She was born California, but spent half of her childhood in the hot California State and the cold Washington State.
Why I write
It happened in sixth grade. I started picking up drawing again. I would tape my drawings on the wall, next to my bed and just stare at them. One night (because I was and still am a night owl) I asked myself what if they had a name, a story to tell?

Fantasy Romance
The difference between Romantic Fantasy and Fantasy Romance (sometimes called Romantasy) are the lenses from which we are seeing the story. I like to think my books are evenly told with romance and fantasy sharing the spotlight. However at its core, I am a fantasy romance writer.
Stories that are character driven
Of course there’s plot in my books, but I enjoy interpersonal relationships much more. Writing interesting, raw characters that will disappoint you, make you laugh, or hate can create such an impact! They help me write!
